Why kiln dried

Kiln dried, not seasoned.

Below 20% moisture, on every load.

"Seasoned" can mean anything from six months to three years of air drying, and moisture levels often vary inside the log. That makes for poor burning and wasted heat.
Our logs are kiln dried on site to bring moisture content reliably below 20%, giving a cleaner, hotter and more efficient burn. Every product is Ready to Burn certified by Woodsure.

Four ranges. One yard.

Kiln Dried Logs

Net bags, bulk bags, crates and loose tipper loads. Premium grade birch, mixed hardwood, ash and beech.

Smokeless Coal

Globrite Super Flame. Strong heat, longer burn, low ash. Approved for use in smoke control areas.

Firelighters

Wood wool firelighters. Natural, easy to light and ideal for getting a clean burn started first time.

Kindling

3kg net bags of kiln dried kindling. Properly seasoned, sized for stoves and open fires.

Delivery restricted to 35 miles
of the yard.

Transit-sized vehicles with cranes, every load wrapped clear.

Delivery is restricted to within 35 miles of the yard - beyond that, you’re welcome to collect. We deliver in transit-sized vehicles with cranes, so we can place loads near a door or storage area where access allows. Every load is wrapped in clear plastic to keep it dry on the way over and on arrival.
